Tradition of the Viennese Ball
The Viennese Ball tradition dates back to the 14th century and experienced its peak during the Vienna Congress, attended by delegations of all states and powers meeting to agree on a permanent European order.
Nowadays there are more 400 balls organized in a year in Vienna with more than 500.000 visitors. The Vienna Ball has become a successful export cultural event and is being held more than 30 times a year in metropolises around the world such as Athens, Berlin, Brussels, London, Madrid, Moscow, New York, Paris, Beijing, Prague, Rome, Tokyo, Zurich, etc.
For the first time this event will be organized in Albania too. Besides its cultural symbolism, the event is a clear manifestation of Austria-Albania friendship and it will be another step towards a more intense and striking collaboration between our nations.
